This Moment

This Moment

God, I thank you for this moment.  This moment to give you glory for all that you have been to me.  I thank you for this moment to love my husband and my kids.  I thank you for this moment to embrace life as it is today.  I thank you for this moment to enjoy the sunrise.  I thank you for this moment to laugh at the little things.  I thank you for this moment to dance and play with my kids.  I thank you for this moment to tell my mom that I love her.  I thank you for the memorable phone calls with my girls. I thank you for this moment to sit and converse with my dad about how things used to be.  I thank you for this moment. 

I thank you for this moment to give someone a word of hope.  I thank you for this moment to be transparent about the not so good times in my life.  I thank you for this moment of being allowed to bask in the beauty of the day.  I thank you for the moment to indulge in the joy of my craft.  God, I just thank you for the moment.  

It becomes so easy to fall into the trap of being consumed with the worries of tomorrow that I forget about the joys of today.  Lord, help me to stay in a place of appreciation for every moment for truly we have no idea what the next minute may hold.  Lord,  I thank you for this moment.
