When Faith is All You Have

What do you do when faith is all you have? Most of us will go through moments when we are waiting for God to fulfill our heart’s desire. We will go through times when there will be a loss that we can’t seem to understand. There will be situations when we will receive a “no” instead of the “yes” that we so desperately hoped for. There will be times when things are seemingly falling apart and it feels that no one understands. So, what do you do in those moments?  In the moments where faith is all you have. The moments when you can only believe because you cannot see a way out.  The moments when you don’t have answers to the questions that are keeping you up at night.  The moments when your mind keeps reliving events that constantly cause your heart to ache. The moments when you have a need but, it seems as though there will be no provision.  What do you do in the moments when you are believing for healing that seems to never come? What do you do when faith is all you have?

If faith is all that you have, keep it! Don’t allow your faith to die. Keep believing for your desire to be fulfilled.  Keep asking God for comfort after the loss. Know that the “no” is only making room for your yes.  Remember that you are not alone and that the season you are in will not last forever. People may not understand but, God always understands. Remind yourself in those moments that a failure to see the plan does not mean one is not in the works for you. Allow yourself to rest knowing that God answers our questions in His way and in His time. Be confident that He has the desire and the power to restore, heal, and comfort you regardless of the situation or the diagnosis. Keep the faith! Don’t give up your hope.  Keep believing even when faith is all you have.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
